General Information

Aims

ELBA is a school aimed to foster the training of developing researchers in the field of linguistics by offering courses delivered both by international and local instructors. Our goal is threefold. We hope to encourage new researchers, to tighten the bond between local and international linguists, and also to give students the opportunity to take part in ongoing debates in the field by allowing them the chance to discuss with the specialists themselves.

ELBA is meant to cover work on contemporary linguistic studies in the areas of theoretical linguistics, semantics, phonology, syntax, linguistic typology, psycholinguistics and data collection/experimental methods from a formal point of view.

Students

ELBA is aimed to students, researchers and people interested in formal linguistics and related fields. Although some background on linguistics is highly recommended in order to follow the classes, we encourage anyone who is interested in the topics of the school to join the courses.
